In Character Name: Bianca Snyder Date of Birth: May 22nd, 2125 (32 years old) Employer/Occupation: Peel Inc, Secretary to President Ada Palmer
Description of Residence (give address, too!): Bianca's apartment is located at 3260 N Lake Shore Drive. It's a 1 bedroom, one bath mid level apartment. It had a spacious living room that's decorated in bright pinks, blues, and yellows. Furnished mostly by a large couch with a chase lounger on one end it faces the large TV she uses for about everything. From watching movies, to checking her garden when at home. The panoramic windows face lake Michigan and are nearly floor to ceiling, though her has dark blue curtains to cover them should she want them closed. The kitchen is smaller than she'd like but it has a nice marble counter that doubles as a bar to sit against when eating meals there instead of at the small table she has in front of the windows. Her bedroom is more muted pinks and soft tangerine oranges. Her bed is in the center of the room, and in the far corner is a desk where she keeps her work for the next day settled and arranged. The reason she bought this space was the closet which is walk in and large. Her collection of clothing is color coded and each set of shoes has a shelf all it's own. On the far side of the room is her bathroom with a large bathtub with shower attached. The bathroom is the only place in her apartment which doesn't have any pink or overly bright colors in it. The only thing remotely colorful about the wall to wall of white space is a brown table to one side of the sink that has a small glass vase of bamboo shoots growing in it.
History: Bianca's mother was only sixteen when she got pregnant. It happened often in those lower class sort of places. Sex was just easy to have, and people had it without a thought of protection. But Amelia didn't want a baby, so immediately after Bianca was born she was put up for adoption. Three months of paperwork and random caretakers and eventually Bianca fell into the waiting arms of Maxoff and Stewart Snyder. Maxoff worked a more industrial job in rural Chicago, while Stewart worked in fashion. Bianca grew up far too quickly for either of them.
She never had much of a problem explaining that she had two fathers. Kids were used to these things. Grade School was a strict private academy outside of Chicago. There Bianca learned about the importance of accessories, as uniforms didn't leave her much room to express herself in a fashion forward sort of way. Her grades were up and down throughout her years at the academy, depending on the mood she was in she could pass with flying colors, or fail miserably. Her worst subjects were often sciences and anything that had to do with gym. It wasn't until Bianca moved to high school that she really came out of the shell she'd had around her in that stuffy uniformed academy.
Bianca went to West Lake High in Chicago. Now that she could finally wear what she liked to wear she branched out. She joined clubs along with the cheer squad. She was popular and well liked by the in-crowd, but disliked heavily by the outcasts, geeks, and nerds. She enjoyed mocking people that weren't up with current trends and sometimes found herself in the Principal's office for bullying. Though she was never very physical with the people she chose to fight with she earned herself a bit of a tough girl sort of attitude, and took on the title of snob. Bianca's fathers were well enough off that she normally got whatever she wanted. But punishments included taking away her favorite hand bags, shoes, or her Garden privileges. Bianca learned it's better to not get caught. But for the most part she always got her possessions returned by playing a good girl for awhile. Neither father could really say no for long.
Bianca graduated High School and was accepted to the University of Chicago. She thought about falling back on the promise Stewart had given her, if she took fashion she could work with him eventually, and so she took both fashion as well as professional writing. Maxoff preferred that his daughter take writing and become somewhat of a business woman, whereas Stewart wanted their daughter to take on the fashion side of the family. Bianca wasn't one hundred percent with either. She split her time between boyfriends and school. Fashion was a fun course, but writing seemed to have more appeal. Not every person who worked in Fashion got a line of their own, nor did they even get far. She'd already been to Paris with Stewart a good ten times, along with Milan, and other parts of the world that Fashion was supreme. But Bianca found herself driven to be something else.
Not to mention she was terrible and sewing things herself. There were always jobs working to write for fashion magazines!
So Bianca dropped formal fashion training, and picked up some odd jobs working as a secretary for various fashion companies in Chicago while working on her degree in writing. She ended up staying in school for six years thanks to barely preforming well her freshman and sophomore year while taking two majors. Once she dropped fashion as a major and completed her major in writing it was pretty smooth sailing. There were a few momentary bumps between boyfriends where she didn't get as much done, or slipped into a bit of a depression coma from a hard break up but otherwise she graduated and felt good about her decision. After graduation she started work at Peel Inc thinking it would be not only a good opportunity but the money was right at the time. She was able to move into her own apartment and live without the constant support of her fathers.
She'd been with Peel Inc since then. She had a lot of change ups over the years. Beginning with answering phones for the main desk, moving from office to office until after several years with the company settling in to work as Secretary to the President. Bianca thinks this is about the best move she'd ever made in her life. The money is fantastic, and after a few months the routine became easy to manage. While Ada can be demanding of her, Bianca enjoys rising to the occasion.
